'AA' Playoff Format
  • The top six teams in each division will play in post season action
  • Each team will be seeded according to their individual league records at the end of the season
  • If all games have not been played and can not be rescheduled, each teams record will be based on a percentage of wins vs. losses
  • If there are teams tied for any place finished, after the season is completed, the team with the best league series record against the other tied teams will be declared the winner of that place
  • If there is still a tie for 1st place, all tied teams will be declared co champions
  • A coin flip or series of coin flips will be used to break ties and determine the seeding into the district tournament

# 1 Seed Regular season division champions
# 2 Seed Division second place finishers
# 3 Seed Division third place finishers
# 4 Seed Division fourth place finishers
# 5 Seed Division fifth place finishers
# 6 Seed Division sixth place finishers
  • Game # 1 & 2: The 1st and 2nd Seeded teams will get a bye on 1st night of playoffs.
  • Game # 1 & 2: will have # 3 & # 6 and # 4 & #5 seeds with the loser out.
  • Game # 1 & 2 will be played at seed numbers 3 & 4 home sites.
  • The highest seeded team will be the home team for games 1 & 2.
  • The highest seeded team remaining will become the # 3 seed and
  • the lowest remaining seed will become the # 4 seed in the division championship series.
  • The home team for all games will be the first team listed.
  • All games will be 7 innings with no time limits.
  • If home sites are not available a field will be assigned by American Legion Baseball
